I use multiple ziplock bags to keep items sorted that go in every day. This makes it easier to repack every morning.
The inside is large enough to fit 2 16 oz waters side by side. But just not long enough to fit a 1 liter bottle in the same way. Could be the brand, rarely use that size but noticed the other day.
I ordered a strap to sling it over my shoulder so I won't have to carry it in my hands when going to and from the car.
Strap is for a scooter; it cost more than the lunch box :( But makes it so much easier to travel with free hands now.
I can fit a flexible ice pack in bottom, 16 oz water, 8 oz nutrition drink, sandwich, apple sauce, 2 nutrition bars, extra snacks like protein cookie &/or mixed nuts, baggie with 2 small medicine bottles, baggie with plastic utensils & napkins.
Ziplock bags are necessary because of lack of side pockets or compartments.
Don't have any issue with opening the box or keeping it shut.

Remove the meat, dump in a cup of ice, replace the meat, dump in the remaining ice, et voila! We have a couple of hours to get home with the meat untainted by the heat.
See, we drive a Jeep Wrangler, and in the hot months we take the top and doors off. Sometimes we forget to use our sedan on nice days, or when we are out rolling through the countryside in the Jeep we realize that we need to hit the grocery store. Having this little guy in the back allows us to safely get that meat home, even without AC or even shelter from direct sunlight for that hour trip to our fridge.
We also use it for sandwiches and drinks for outings in the jeep with some of those blue, reusable chem pack coolers.
We like this for the shopping aspect enough that we are going to get a larger one for the trunk of our car or the back of the Jeep.
Nice and super inexpensive. Very handy to have with you at times. Takes up very little space. Washes out easily.
These fit in their school lockers (the narrow side facing the locker door) and they have plenty of space inside for a large lunch including a drink and bulkier snacks like popcorn. They'll fit an adult-sized lunch too. Temperature retention is obviously much better than the flexible plastic lunchboxes too, so I'd recommend this for anyone as long as your kids don't mind being the first "weird" one with a lunch cooler.
