And the MagSlider Lid is spill- and shatter-resistant, just like the rest of our Rambler accessories. Dishwasher-safe.

You'll Need

  • Dishwasher detergent
  • Sink with warm/hot water
  • Dish sponge or brush
  • Butter knife
  • Drying rack

Total time to clean: 2-5 minutes

1. Pull Off Magslider With Your Fingers

The MagSlider top can be easily removed from your Yeti lid with your hands.

It's only held on with magnets and it easily comes away with a bit of force.

It's very important that you remove this to clean it properly. If you don't then gunk and mold can build up underneath it.

2. Remove Rubber Gasket

It's also very important to remove the rubber gasket from around the outside of the lid.

This is the prime spot for mold to build up.

It can build up on both the underside of the gasket as well as on the outside where the little grooves are that help it to suction onto the Yeti Tumbler cups.

You should be able to remove it with your hand but if it's difficult to remove then get a butter knife to get under it and remove it.

Just be careful not to cut or damage the rubber gasket as your remove it.

3. Fill Up Sink With Warm Soapy Water

Fill up your sink with detergent and hot water just like you would when cleaning your dishes.

Alternatively you can also clean your Yeti MagSlider lid in vinegar. The vinegar is acidic and a natural cleaner.

Throw all the pieces in the warm soapy water which allows them to soak a little before washing.

4. Clean Rubber Gasket Making Sure To Remove Mold

Grab a dish cloth or brush and give the rubber gasket a good clean.

Clean the inner smooth side to remove mold from there and also make sure you give the ridged outside a good clean.

If it's been a while since the last clean you'll likely see mold come off on your dish cloth…gross!

Keep rubbing and cleaning until all the mold buildup is gone. Make sure to get into all the grooves.

5. Scrub Lid and Remove Mold

Give the top and bottom of your lid a good solid clean then move your attention to the indent channel where the rubber gasket usually sits.

This area can also build up mold, as seen in the image above, so make sure to give that a good thorough clean.

6. Scrub Magslider

Lastly grab the little magslider component and give that a good clean as well, making sure to remove any buildup.

7. Rinse and Dry Components

Once you've finished your cleaning give all the components of the lid a rinse and then dry them.

Leave them disassembled to air dry or use a tea towel to dry them more quickly.

8. Reassemble

Once completely dry reassemble the different parts.

The magslider will just magnetically reattach when you get it close. It doesn't really matter which way you put the magslider on.

Put the rubber gasket back on the lid, this may require a little force but shouldn't be too hard to do.

Once reassembled you're good to go and use your lid again.
