This bottle opener is serious business. It's 5.25 inches long, 1 inch tall and 0.724 inches thick. It's big, it's bulky, it's heavy (it's also really expensive) and that's what makes it so interesting.
What Makes The Yeti Brick Bottle Opener Unique
When buying a bottle opener for $49.99 you'de generally expect it to do a variety of things. Open beer bottles, wine bottles, cans and heck maybe even double as a steak knife and clean the dishes for you.
The Yeti Brick does 1 thing and 1 thing only…it opens beer bottles.
There is nothing fancy about this product, it's just a heavy, oversized bottle opener.
Design and Feel
The Brick feels really nice to hold. The cold cast stainless steel and the heaviness of this bottle opener makes it feel great in your hands.
That fact that it is oversized and overpowered is what makes it so great. Sure you can open a beer bottle with a pissy little bottle opener from the supermarket, by that won't make you feel like a man.
It has bold Yeti branding on both sides making it clearly stand out as a premium product. The Yeti brand is really well known and so your friends will recognize this and love it. Plus it's a great thing to compliment your Yeti cooler.
Conversation Starter
My favorite thing about this bottle opener is how much it stands out.
Imagine yourself going to a BBQ (or hosting one yourself), someone grabs and beer and ask “Do you have a bottle opener?”
You say “Sure, here you go” and you pass them the Brick.
“Woah, this is cool!” is generally the reaction you are going to get.
Is The Yeti Brick Bottle Opener Worth Buying?
For a lot of people the price tag of $49.99 is just too much to pay for a bottle opener, and I get that.
But you're not really paying for a bottle opener. You're paying to make a statement.
You're paying for the ability to impress your mates and to display this proudly in your workshop.
You're paying to feel like a man as you open your beer, vs stuffing around with those 2nd rate bottle openers so many people have that are really hard to use.
If you can't afford the $49.99 then the Brick isn't worth buying, any old bottle opener can do the job.
But if you have some money and already love Yeti products then why not indulge yourself and buy one of these?
Mixed Reviews
This product has mixed reviews, not because it doesn't do the job it says it will (be heavy and open beers) but because it is SO expensive.
Why did Yeti go to all this effort to make a bottle opener that is more expensive than the 30 oz Tumbler. It's just crazy.
So many people have rated in 1-2 stars for that reason alone. So when looking at the reviews realize that it's not that the product is defective, it's just that people feel it's too much to pay.
