Yeti recently released the 20 oz Travel Mug with StrongHold Lid which screws into place and has a leak proof slider. It is the first (and currently only) leak proof Yeti tumbler and it's one of the best leak proof travel mugs on the market.
Yeti tumblers have always been some of the best and most popular insulated tumblers on the market. But one of the downsides of Yeti tumblers was always the fact that they weren't leak proof.
Even with the MagSlider lid Yeti tumblers still leaked and the fact that the lid was only held on by the friction of a rubber gasket meant it could pop off it left in your bag or if dropped.
Over time as the rubber gasket wore down the lid has less and less hold and is more likely to come off.
However, now with the StrongHold Lid by Yeti all of these problems have been fixed and Yeti has a completely leak proof tumbler.

Leak Proof Yeti Lid – The StrongHold
The fact that Yeti now have a leak proof tumbler comes down to the new leak proof Yeti lid design.
The StrongHold lid is now a screw on lid, as opposed to a pop on lid. This makes it much more secure and less likely to fall off if dropped or tipped on it's side.
It still has a rubber gasket to help with water proofing and the thread is designed to the sipping hole can be on either side of the Travel Mug so it will work for both left and right handers.
The Yeti StrongHold lid also does away with the magnetic sliding mechanism (which honestly is so satisfying) and replaces it with a 2 part slider that clicks together.
The top of the slider looks exactly the same as the MagSlider but the bottom now has a rubber gasket which makes the lid completely leak proof when closed.
It's a really cool design and I absolutely love that Yeti are stepping it up and fixing some of the complaints people have about their product.
With this new lid I personally think the Yeti 20 oz Travel Mug is the best leak proof travel mug on the market.
The Yeti 20 oz Travel Mug With Handle
Yeti has had a variety of tumblers and mugs in the past but the new 20 oz Travel Mug has a bit of everything and fixes some of the problems with the other similar mugs Yeti sell.
The older Yeti 20 oz Mug had a handle which was great but had a super wide base so wouldn't fit into any cup holders. It also comes with just a standard lid with a permanent open hole (no MagSlider) which I'm not a huge fan of.
The new 20 oz Travel Mug on the other hand has a tapered base and the handle is placed higher so the Mug will easily fit into most car cup holders.
The original 20 oz Tumbler is a good cup but doesn't have a handle or a leak proof lid like the newer Travel Mug.
The new Yeti 20 oz Travel Mug is $5 more expensive than the 20 oz Tumbler and the 24 oz Mug, coming in at around $35. But in my opinion it's worth the extra cost.

I personally own multiple Yeti tumblers and some are 5+ years old and still going strong working just as well as the day I bought them.
